Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Material Handler to join our team. The Material Handler will be responsible for performing various tasks related to the handling, loading, unloading, and conveying of materials within our plant, yard, or work site. Under specific direction, the Material Handler will execute duties such as shipping and/or receiving, opening containers, counting and weighing materials, and recording relevant information.
Responsibilities:
Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, conveyors, and machines manually.
Open containers using hand tools and record pertinent information.
Convey materials using wheelbarrows, hand trucks, forklifts, electric dollies, elevators, or other devices as necessary.
Aid machine operators by lifting heavy objects manually or using power hoists.
Stack or assemble materials as required.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience as a Material Handler or similar role.
Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently (if applicable).
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording information.
Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects repeatedly.
Excellent communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
Certification in operating material handling equipment.
Prior experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
