We are looking to add a screen print lead to our Olive Branch, Mississippi location. This is a great opportunity to join a growing company!

The Screen Print Lead is responsible for the assignment delegation, direction and supervision of printing operation services and employees to assure efficient workflow and high-quality graphics are produced. Also responsible for training, scheduling and evaluating the performance of assigned print room personnel; consult with manager or administrator for establishing priorities and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that orders ship timely

  • Perform quality checks on files to ensure they meet printing specifications and examines products for clarity, color, accuracy, conformance to specifications, and any defects

  • Collaborate with the design and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve any issues

  • Train, coach, assign and supervise the performance of assigned personnel

  • Follow all safety and company policies and procedures

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area

  • Schedule and manage all orders by working the screen print master spreadsheet

  • Examines work orders to determine details such as quantities to be printed, production time, stock specifications, colors, and color sequences

  • Make sure that the screen print packets are created and ensure that the screen printers have everything required to complete the order

  • Communicating with the reclaim area by making sure enough screens are available and ensure they are working ahead of schedule

  • Performs quality checks throughout the manual screen print process

  • Assure proper maintenance and repair of departmental equipment; maintain current knowledge of technical advances in the field.

  • Maintain inventory of all consumable supplies such as screens, ink, and cleaning materials; Requisition supplies as needed.

  • Examine and approve material submitted for printing before orders are executed to ensure accuracy and quality.

  • Effectively communicate necessary information out of printing department operations to management.

  • Stay knowledgeable of printing equipment and purchases; provide technical recommendations and analysis of new equipment and proposed facilities as necessary.

  • Participate in printing activities as necessary.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Understand and possess ability to operate a wide variety of printing equipment and programs; including but not limited to; Using Illustrator to layout artwork for Velums, operating manual and auto printing presses, heat tunnels, and direct to screen equipment.

  • Exhibits fluency in the methods, practices, terminology, and procedures used in the production of printed and graphic materials.

  • Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing while maintaining tact, patience and courtesy.

  • Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.

  • Requires bending, squatting, climbing, reaching.

  • Requires the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull light weights, up to 30 pounds.

  • High school diploma preferred

  • 1-3 years’ experience in a similar role
