Summary:

Greentech Renewables is the nation's leading solar equipment distributor. Greentech Renewables distributes a full range of solar equipment to thousands of contractors throughout the United States, Caribbean, and Latin America, enabling solar installers to easily and cost-effectively design, sell, and install solar photovoltaic (PV) systems.

Greentech Renewables’s Design Services Team is looking for a Regional Lead for the Eastern region, to help us manage our rapidly growing design services pipeline.

Reports to: Director of Engineering

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must enjoy working collaboratively with diverse constituencies toward common goals

  • 7+ years experience in Solar design, engineering, or construction experience is required

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Solar Engineering or Project Management plus actual construction experience. Alternatively a journeyman electrician - project manager - and a deep familiarity with Solar attachment products

  • Excellent CAD, Solar Code (NEC), and Solar Product knowledge

  • Incredible problem solving and negotiation abilities

  • Ability to collaborate with many other teams

  • Interpersonal skills to manage a team

  • Ability to give constructive criticism

  • Ability to make decisions quickly

Preferred Qualifications:

  • EIT or PE License a plus

  • NABCEP Certification a plus

  • Solar Construction experience preferred over MBA or Master's in engineering

  • Structural experience and familiarity with Solar attachment products a plus

Working Conditions:

  • Remote work on a small team, with multiple weekly check-ins

  • Regular visits to the assigned PC locations in the Eastern region

  • Work standard business hours of 8am to 5pm within your time zone or within the time zone of the Division assigned

Essential Job Functions:

  • Predominant role focus will be growing relationships with and supporting the success of Greentech Renewables colleagues and customers across your assigned regionManage your Greentech Renewables Design Services Region to achieve organizational targets, goals and growth per PC location.

  • Build long-term relationships with Greentech Renewables Division Managers (meet monthly) in order to

  • Target new customers (both residential and commercial leads)

  • Pursue existing targeted customers (both residential and commercial leads)

  • Target growth capacity

  • Collaborate with sales teams to create new products & pursue customer leads

  • Work with the Design/Service Leads to build the long-term relationship with Greentech Renewables Profit Center Managers (Design Leads to meet with them weekly)

  • Build long-term relationship with inside and outside sales teams

  • Provide technical and product support

  • Provide customer service through sales support

  • Host Lunch & Learns and Manufacturer specific trainings

  • Partner with the Design Lead’s to achieve daily workload and goals including the completion and delivery of locally code-compliant plan-sets meeting customer requirements

  • Manage the resources of team growth, drafting vendors, and engineering to support the creation of permit plan-sets

  • Manage the process and structure to respond to live tech support requests in a timely manner

  • Communicate proactively and effectively with customers

  • Propose budgets for various projects

  • Attend trade shows and conferences and visit customers to ensure customer success and loyalty

  • Assist in evaluating, hiring, onboarding, and training Design/Service Leads

  • Provide feedback on internal processes to ensure ongoing efficiency

Compensation Range:

The compensation range for this position is $100000 to $110000 annually.
