Mille Lacs Health System Materials Buyer - Materials Department - 1.0 FTE in Onamia, Minnesota
THIS POSITION IS ONSITE AT OUR ONAMIA MINNESOTA LOCATION
Summary
Sourcing hospital supplies, office supplies and uniforms/clothing for Mille Lacs Health System. Maintains inventory integrity, manages inventory data and edits inventory details. Delivers supplies throughout health system. Enters purchase order data, rotates inventory stock and assists customers in procuring desired products.
Job Duties

Works independently with little or no supervision and makes good decisions.*
Works with department managers on their supply needs including replenishing storage areas and department requisitions.
Place orders, expedite orders, and resolve any product, pricing, or invoicing discrepancies.
Researches new and existing items with vendors, including substitutes and contract pricing.
Receive supplies correctly and resolve any discrepancies, damages, or product returns.*
Proper tagging and storage of inventory items. Routinely check for expired products*
Maintain Inventory Management System part set up, storage area set up, inventory adjustments, annual physical inventory transactions.
Required Education and Experience
Associates Degree required or demonstrated 2-5 years' experience in healthcare purchasing and receiving.
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Healthcare Management preferred.
Healthcare inventory management experience required. Education may serve in lieu of inventory management experience.
Demonstrable skills with Microsoft Office and Windows required.
Must be physically able to lift/store and deliver inventory and purchased items to departments.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Materials Buyer -M-F (40 hours per week), must have flexibility based on deliveries.
