Job Summary

  • The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for the assessment, treatment, and management, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions affecting the cardiopulmonary system for neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, and adults.

  • The individual must demonstrate proficiency in all modalities of respiratory care, which may include, but not limited to oxygen therapy, breathing treatments, airway clearance, blood gases, airway management, non-invasive and invasive ventilator setup and monitoring.

Education and/or Experience

  • Required

  • Associates Degree

  • With a certificate in Respiratory Care.

  • Preferred Education

  • Bachelors Degree

  • With a certificate in Respiratory Care.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

  • Required

  • Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) with the National Board of Respiratory Care.

  • Current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of Nebraska.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months of hire.

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 6 months of hire.

  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within 6 months of hire.

  • Preferred License/Certification

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with the National Board of Respiratory Care.

Work Schedule

  • Varied Shifts; 72 hours every 2 weeks

  • 3 rd to 4 th weekend rotation

  • 1 to 3 holidays per year rotation

  • General hours 6:00am-6:30pm

  • On call 1-2 nights a week rotation

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

  • $26.25 - $39.50 per hour
