Marketing Coordinator

Position Title: Marketing Coordinator

Reports To: Director of Marketing & Communications

Classification: Salaried, Exempt

Compensation: Salary Range: $60,000-$65,000 Annual

Position Summary:

The Marketing Coordinator oversees, implements, and manages assigned marketing duties set by the Marketing Director and provides support through various responsibilities. The following responsibilities apply to the portfolio of entities which the marketing department oversees.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Project Management (Digital Properties, Advertising, Creative Production)

  • Monitor websites for content accuracy and assist with updating information to ensure websites are current and accurate. Assist in managing outgoing e-mail blasts, ensuring timely and effective communication.

  • Monitors and contributes to social media platforms, posting and editing content as needed.

  • Manages production and distribution of promotional and collateral materials to support sales and marketing programs. Collaborate on copy and layout for newsletters and facility documents and manuals.

  • Understand production process and assist in development and trafficking creative assets for media placements including onsite digital signage, freeway billboards, paid media, etc.

Administrative & Marketing Support

  • Support Marketing Director with calendar coordination, meeting preparation, finance & expense support, communication with management, stakeholders and partners as needed.

  • Understand and assist with financial processes across all entities.

  • Maintain organized files for the department (creative, press clips, photo libraries, SOPs, etc.).

  • Request data and updates from internal teams, partners, and stakeholders on regular basis. Coordinate details and assist in the development of presentations.

  • Serve as Microsoft Office Suite expert, help teams use SharePoint and document sharing solutions.

  • Serve as primary liaison to technical support teams, address issues and improvements.

  • Monitor marketing inboxes (800 # Voicemails, info@website)

  • Develop trustworthy relationships with stakeholder counterparts, partners, and internal teams.

Promotions, Activations & Event Support

  • Assist with event day duties and serve as backup for various responsibilities including event day social media, check-ins, stakeholder, and media-related hosting duties.

  • Assist coordinating promotions and special events with promotion agencies and facility personnel.

  • Execute event marketing procedures, including advertising, public relations, and sales initiatives.

Teamwork & Professionalism:

Adheres to and supports company policies and decisions in a positive manner. Cooperates with personnel in other departments to ensure the best overall experience and top of mind awareness of our guests, clients, entertainers, sponsors, suite owners and local government officials.

As with all positions, other jobs or special projects may arise outside the realm of this job description. Doing other assignments on a fill-in basis is expected of every employee.

Qualifications & Certifications:

  • Associate degree or equivalent in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or a related field.

  • 3-5 years’ experience in Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, Communications, or similar is required.

  • Industry-related experience preferred (travel/tourism, radio/television, advertising agency, print publications).

  • Experience in digital marketing preferred (social media, website management, email marketing, and advertising).

  • Valid U.S. Driver License

Knowledge/Abilities/Skills:

  • Ability to work long and irregular hours that may vary due to functions and may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Excellent organizational, planning, and multitasking abilities, with keen attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and cultivate relationships with stakeholders and constituents.

  • Excellent written and verbal skills.

  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects.

  • Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Ability to work under limited supervision, and interact with all levels of staff, including management.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Photoshop required. InDesign and Illustrator proficiency preferred.

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move around the complex; to stand for long hours during the events; talk and hear. Extended keyboard and computer usage is also required. Heavy phone usage, some stooping, bending, and lifting may be required. This position may require work inside or outside of the building as needed by events.
