Established EH&S professional. Administers EH&S plans and procedures across multiple EH&S specialties, including Health/Safety and Environmental/Compliance.
Analyzes facility and employee practice issues for opportunities to apply EH&S procedures to solve problems or improve EH&S policy effectiveness.
Acts as a partner in EH&S by formulating and administering EH&S plans and procedures including EH&S Program Management.
Has responsibility for multiple EH&S specialties. May perform tasks associated with Health / Safety and Environmental compliance.
Coordinates with business partners for EH&S concerns regarding facilities and employee practices.
May have responsibility for facilities and / or medical at a site. Organizes and maintains EH&S policies to achieve and maintain compliance with regulations.
Manages relationships across other specialized departments to achieve and maintain compliance with EH&S regulations and UTC requirements.
Reviews performance against EH&S regulatory requirements and identifies non-conformance.
Explains and interprets EH&S regulations and employee practices to business facilities to achieve and maintain understanding.
Oversight of environmental programs which includes RCRA waste management, SPCC/SWPP, Title V, and Storm Water management, and environmental sustainability programs
Conducts required environmental regulatory reports and submissions.
Develops materials for EH&S training and communications on subjects required by regulations such as confined space, respiratory protection, compressed gases, electrical safety, ergonomics, industrial hygiene etc.
Conducts EH&S inspections and analyzes audit findings to develop corrective actions and achieve and maintain safe work practices.
Executes procedures, reporting, and trainings across multiple EH&S disciplines.
Supports management of applicable federal, state, and local regulations as well as company policies and procedures.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple tasks and project.
Lead initiatives to improve sitewide safety culture.
Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR
Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years’ experience OR
In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required
Strong written and verbal communication, computer, and analytical skills required.
Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA, AIHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.
Experience in the interpretation of local and state EH&S compliance standards.
Demonstrated experience in the integration of EHS into the manufacturing process.
Capable of working with a wide range of people from site leader to shop floor operators.
Must be a U.S. Person/ Permanent Resident ‘Green Card’ holder
Advanced Degree in Environmental, Health & Safety.
Manufacturing work setting experience.
Excellent written and verbal skills with ability communicate with professionalism.
Intermediate computer skills (e.g., MS Office) are essential.
Additional certifications, such as CSP, CIH. or CHMM
