Insight Global TAR Scheduler in Oregon, Ohio

Job Description

  • Build TAR Event schedules based on feedback from event managers, contractors, execution team, and other stakeholders.

      * Load and maintain resources within the schedule.

      * Evaluates and reports critical and near critical path activity.

      * Identify schedule changes and trends and communicate accordingly. Update schedules with the latest performance data by incorporating real-time schedule adjustments.

      * Ensure all activity links are logic driven.

      * Update schedule progress in accordance with processes and procedures.

      * Participate in Interactive Planning and Construction Lean Planning Sessions.

      * Closely monitor schedule performance against key performance indicators and communicate deviations where applicable. Provide timely updates to the Turnaround Event Leads.

      * Verify schedule integrity and evaluate logic and float, always maintaining accuracy of schedule.

      * Prepare and provide regular schedule progress reports, trending charts and schedule analysis on a periodic basis and Supervise progress communications and update meetings.

      * Perform schedule evaluation and report findings, including critical path(s), longest path, milestone deviations and slippage analysis. Assist in developing recovery plans.

      * Support development of project schedule documentation such as "Basis of Schedule" or "Schedule Management Plan".

      * Support Schedule and Cost integration to incorporate schedule related data into cost management scopes of work providing single source of truth.

      * Field visits will be required as part of this role.

      * Develop accurate and detailed schedule including Pre-TAR and TAR execution using Primavera.

      * Determine activity relationships and work with TAR planners, Engineers, Projects, Operations, and Event Leads to create work activity linkages, for scope integration.

      * Integrate TAR Event schedule with the Projects group to align the Projects group and TAR activities.

      * Integrate discovery and change order scope into the schedule during Event.

      * Monitor contractor daily workforce reports and TRACK reports to ensure alignment between actual hours reported in schedule and manpower in the field.

      * Interface with contractors on progress updates, import outside contractor schedules as necessary.

Being prepared to adapt to changing requirements and priorities, adjust schedules as needed based on Turnaround dynamics.

Skills and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.

      * 5+ years of P6 experience in medium to large-sized industry construction projects

      * 2+ years of experience in working in Turnaround (TAR) projects.

      * In-depth knowledge of Primavera with understanding of typical construction sequencing and logic for large construction projects. Must be articulate, have clear and analytical approach to problem solving, and good decision-making abilities. * Must have excellent communication and presentation skills.

      * Must generally understand and utilize Information Technology in the performance of work including Internet, Intranet, Microsoft Windows OS, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite, and role related systems.

      * Must be able to understand float and how to tie scope. Schedule management experience in the development of project schedules and integrating multiple schedules.

Proficiency in Primavera scheduling products (P6) and report preparation skills Must be able to problem solve by coordinating calls with stakeholders, gaining alignment, etc null
