What You Will Do: * Lead projects for specific customer account as assigned by account manager. * Travel 3-4 times per year to visit specific customers for new product introductions, technical meetings, technology conferences, etc. * Align works to support growth of specific customer account. * Collect and analyze field data to make recommendations on cutter development * Be a member of HVE teams, PDCA teams, or other groups as needed to support customers and contribute to fast learning for the organization. * Use PDCA method to solve problems * Participate in a minimum of 2 kaizen events (weeklong training/projects) per year * Lead one kaizen event per year * Use leadership principles to lead HVE or functional engineering teams * Functional expert with ability to mentor less experienced engineers in assigned discipline * Take initiative to see and solve problems that increase value for all stakeholders in the business * Work at GEMBA (where the work is done, i.e. mfg floor) to better see and solve problems * Work with the operators and leaders on the production floor to develop and implement projects * Utilize lean manufacturing and product development principles in all processes and product changes * Create, maintain and perform audits on standardized work documents i.e. Job Breakdown Sheets (JBS) and Critical Knowledge * Yokoten: share and teach lessons learned with production floor and other teams * Follow all company policies (Attendance, No Tobacco Products on Campus,...
