Key Responsibilities
Temporary Winter Snow Plow Operators are responsible for snow removal and roadway salting as needed, along with other duties as assigned. The position may also operate light and heavy-duty motor vehicle equipment to load/unload materials, clear work sites or debris, and assist with other general maintenance duties assigned.
This work is primarily performed outdoors, and the hours may be adjusted by management during inclement weather.
Approximately 40 hours per week throughout the winter season. THIS IS A TEMPORARY/SEASONALPOSITIONgenerally scheduled from December through early March.
Must be available Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 2:00 pm; or 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm on a regular basis. A third on-call only shift is also available. Availability for callouts on weekends, and/or a temporary shift in schedule during inclement weather is necessary.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills
Prior related streets and/or snow removal experience is necessary. Skill in the use of hand tools and in the operation of gasoline and electric powered equipment is preferred but not necessary.
Some knowledge of construction techniques is also preferred. Other requirements include the ability to perform manual tasks requiring physical strength and endurance.
Possession of a Class 'B' CDL is required.

Compensation & Benefits
Available Shifts:
Day (6:00 am - 2:00 pm): $27.50/hour
Evening (2:00 pm - 10:00 pm): $28.00/hour
On-Call ONLY: $29.30/hour
