Siemens Energy Construction Bid Manager in Orlando, Florida
A Snapshot of Your Day
As an EC Bid Manager, you will create offers, time schedules, and cost calculations for our high-voltage direct current (HVDC) and Flexible AC Transmission Systems (FACTs) projects worldwide, focusing on Site Operations (installation, commissioning, and site Management) in close collaboration with our proposal teams. You will actively contribute to the implementation of the energy transition by supporting the execution of our projects.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Calculation of installation and commissioning costs, qualitative and quantitative labor planning, and preliminary scheduling
Preparation of cost calculations for the corresponding head office departments in coordination with the involved regional units
Continuous adjustment of existing calculations, templates, and databases considering lessons learned and proposal structures
Support of sub-project managers, installation and commissioning teams, and technical project management (e.g., in evaluation of subcontractor tenders)
Participation in the design and continuous improvement of internal processes
What You Bring
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, or education as a technician
Extensive professional experience in site/installation management and/or commissioning of large-scale plants
Good knowledge of site organization and planning tools (e.g., MS Project)
Extensive technical experience in the energy sector (preferably large projects in the field of switchgear, HVDC systems, or Oil & Gas)
Excellent planning and execution skills in the field of component and system integration testing
Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
