Job Description

HII – Mission Technologies Corp (MTC) is currently seeking a Contracts Manager (Contracts Manager Level 1) located in Orlando, Florida to support the contract administration and business growth of the LVC Business Group. This will be a hybrid position where the candidate will be required to be in the office a minimum of three days a week. The ideal candidate is an experienced problem solver with a variety of skills across contracts, cost proposal development and personnel management with specific experience/in-depth knowledge of GSA, GWAC, and IDIQ contracts. The chosen candidate will report to the Director of Contracts for LVC Solutions and will support all aspects of the contract’s functions for the Business Group.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Serve as a contractual business advisor and subject matter expert to line management (Business Group President, Operations Managers, Program Managers) and functional management (Procurement, Pricing, Finance/Accounting, Cost Point, Business Operations, and Project Controls) regarding contractual and proposal issues.

• Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations to include, but not limited, to reporting requirements;

• Ensure that contracts, proposals and work product comply with HII and HI MTC policies and Contracts Department processes and are of high quality. Ensure contract files include appropriate documentation to support such compliance.

• Negotiate the terms of all contract documents including Contracts, Cost Proposals, NDAs, TAs, Subcontracts, etc.;

• Support proposal development by studying requests for proposal (RFPs); attending proposal kick-off meetings and determining appropriate contractual requirements to deliver a responsive and winning proposal;

• Mentor and train junior personnel within the HII MTC Contracts Department and specifically on the LVC Business Group Contracts Team;

• Effectively communicate within the team, the company, and customers;

• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• 4 years relevant progressive experience with a Bachelors in related field; 2 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent progressive experience

• Past experience managing large complex IDIQ contracts, subcontracts and/or pricing proposals

• Experience remotely supporting large complex contracts with emphasis on experience with IDIQ contracts

• 10+ years of government proposal and contracts administration experience preferred

Preferred Requirements

• Strong working knowledge of FAR/DFARS

• Experience supporting large proposal efforts including management of cost narratives

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
