We are on the lookout for a proactive Sr. Accountant to assist a great client in the South Orlando area. The main function of this role is to manage and oversee various accounting operations, including the preparation of journal entries, cash activity, month-end close, and balance sheet reconciliations. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity to work with a great accounting team! This role is based in-office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the process of cash handling and management, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

• Prepare and review journal entries, ensuring they are accurately recorded in the General Ledger.

• Handle the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurately reported and deadlines are met.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel to maintain and manage financial data and prepare reports.

• Manage the balance sheet reconciliation process, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.

• Conduct bank reconciliations, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.

• Manage cash activity, ensuring all cash transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.

• Oversee the management of prepaid assets, ensuring they are accurately recorded and managed.

• Manage the process of monthly accruals, ensuring all financial data is accurately reported and deadlines are met.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Balance Sheet Reconciliation and Bank Reconciliations is essential

• Must have experience in managing General Ledger and Journal Entries

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel required

• Prior experience in Month End Close processes is required

• Experience in handling Cash Activity

• Knowledge of Prepaid Assets management is required

• Ability to manage Monthly Accruals

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Must possess a high level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation

• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
