The J.M. Smucker Company Associate Sourcing Manager, Indirects in Orrville, Ohio
Your Opportunity as the Associate Sourcing Manager, Indirects - CPS (Sales, Retailer Data, Consulting, R&D, Market Research & other) Support the Senior Indirect Procurement Manager in developing and executing strategies (using appropriate tools including industry analysis, supplier analysis, benchmarking, etc.) required to plan, source, negotiate and implement the procurement of various corporate indirect goods and services. Potential direct management of sub-categories may include: Sales, Retailer Data, Market Research, R&D, and Consulting. Location Orrville, Corporate Offices Work Arrangements: Hybrid, 30% in office expectations In this role you will: Work closely with key stakeholders to manage current contracts and identify a pipeline of future opportunities. Identify and implement of cost and risk reduction projects. Support stakeholders with ongoing supplier relationship management. Conduct RFP and RFI's, working closely with stakeholders to evaluate and select suppliers and negotiate commercial terms. Partner with legal to draft, review, and negotiate contract language. Collaborate with stakeholders and external parties to bring best value to the business. Actively participate in cross functional meetings to provide a procurement point of view and support. Support the Sales, Retailer Data, R&D, Market Research, and Consulting categories in the development deployment of standard work, industry best practices to drive corporate metrics and value creation. What we are looking for: Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Economics, Finance, Business or related field 3 years of procurement and supplier relationship management experience with indirect services Additional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role: Knowledge and experience negotiating contracts and managing suppliers within corporate professional services categories such as Sales, Retailer Data, R&D, Market Research, Fleet, and Consulting.
