Job Title: Mechanical Engineer
Job Description
Design supporting structures and auxiliary equipment for new shop equipment
No need to design industrial machinery; all new machinery is purchased
Design mezzanines, foundations, support columns, and beams
Specify and install support equipment for machinery (e.g., bridge cranes, ductwork)
Primarily design using AutoCAD 2D
Support maintenance engineering and shutdown projects
Lead projects from design to installation, including specifying, evaluating, and installing new equipment
Engage in hands-on engineering during equipment installations
Consider industrial ventilation principles in machine installation projects
Troubleshoot mechanical issues with new equipment (e.g., hydraulic leaks, damaged hardware)

This is a fully on-site position in Orrville, Ohio.
Work Environment
Design work will be performed in an air-conditioned office. However, candidates will regularly work on the shop floor, which is a hot and dirty castings environment, when installing or specifying new equipment.
