Job Description
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will design and develop high-quality custom electrical power distribution equipment. This role involves guiding Level 1 and Level 2 Design Engineers, coaching junior engineers on standard practices, and driving cross-functional projects to completion. You will also manage project aspects, provide technical direction for prototype and initial builds, ensure engineering drawing accuracy, create and validate BOMs, and conceptualize and model parts in SolidWorks. Additionally, you will respond to customer and assembly floor issues, operate independently on projects, and create detailed engineering prints through the ECN process while conforming to drafting and department standards.
Skills and Qualifications Required
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent work experience
7+ years of experience operating a 3D design tool with preference of SolidWorks experience
7+ years of experience with sheet metal design
Solid understanding of mechanical processes to design and fabricate components
