job summary:
A Process Technician is needed for a biomedical/biotechnology engineering firm and multinational manufacturer of medical devices in the Maple Grove, MN area. This position involves assisting process development engineers in the injection molding group by developing, prototyping, and optimizing injection molded components and processes while collaborating with project teams to ensure quality standards and effective implementation.

responsibilities:
Assist process development (PD) engineers and project teams within the injection molding group.
Develop, set up, and run injection molded components.
Troubleshoot and optimize molding processes.
Collaborate with PD and Manufacturing to design injection molding processes for prototypes.
Prototype new components and provide samples for performance testing.
Create prototypes/products from concepts using basic mechanical drawing or CAD software.
Qualify tooling and fixturing to ensure intended use.
Explore and propose creative solutions based on solid rationales.
Organize, coordinate, and execute the building and testing of prototypes/products according to engineering instructions.
Educaion and Experience:
An Associate's degree or equivalent education/work experience.
3 years of relevant experience.
