Novelis Inc. Lead Process Engineer in Oswego, New York
Novelis Corporation seeks a Lead Process Engineer in Oswego, NY to work with molten aluminum alloys and cast ingots and roll aluminum using hot and cold milling process. Determine and eliminate causes of quality defects and resolve customer complaints. Review metal input to optimize lowest cost for materials and reduce consumption of scrap metals. Create and maintain system for long term planning for aluminum consumption. Identify market value of aluminum scrap inputs by collaborating with buyers and plant controllers. Create multi-variable optimization model for lowest cost. Create a forecast model and design a procurement strategy for annual plans. Create a consumption plan for industrial cast ingots and suggest alternate casting allocations for higher production rates using sequencing analysis. Required a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Material Science/Metallurgy or a related field or foreign equivalent and two years of experience as an Engineer in manufacturing environment focusing on metals. Experience must include utilizing and interpreting Power BI, Advanced Excel, Mini tab, Stochastic Optimization, Large scale capex modeling, Statistical analysis, Process Analysis, Lean methodologies and Supply chain Network optimizations.
