Aerotek Mechanical Assembler in Ottawa, Ontario
Aerotek is now hiring several spots for mechanical assemblers for our manufacturing client in the east end of Ottawa!
Job Description
Responsible for assembling various robotic models used in military and police operations.
Opportunity to work on five unique models.
Start assembly from the basic skeleton and progress to complete the robot or work on sub-assemblies.
QA testing by the department before starting a new project.
Crucial role in ensuring precision and functionality for operational safety and efficiency.
Skills
Minimum 6 months experience in assembly, ideally with electronics or robotic components
Minimum 6 months mechanical assembly experience using tools such as drills, power screwdrivers, and wrenches
Minimum 6 months experience in soldering cables/wires
Ability to follow detailed schematics and assembly instructions
Self-management and responsibility for complete assembly processes
Adaptability to work on various models with precision
Work Environment
Spacious, well-lit shop with a high two-story roof.
Minimal noise and no unpleasant odors.
Assemblers can stand or sit at their stations.
Equipped with necessary tools and a laptop for material requests and assembly guidance.
Site includes free parking, a nearby bus stop, and a kitchen area for meals.

Job Details:
Consistent Monday-to-Friday schedule.
Flexible start time, shop closes at 5pm due to safety.
Pay:$19-$21 based on experience
