Job Description:
We are seeking a full-time Test and Automation Engineer for its Advanced Development Engineering Laboratory. As a member of our team, you’ll take part in a dynamic environment where every day presents new challenges and opportunities to drive the future of RF measurements using leading-edge hardware and software solutions.
This position will be based in Ottawa, Canada.
Responsibilities and Experience:
Design and execute RF measurement setups that exceed and enhance Skyworks’ strategic goals
Analyze test results and troubleshoot measurement issues
Create and present product validation data reports for marketing and engineering purposes
Understand test requirements for RF products including power amplifiers, low noise amplifiers, couplers, switches, acoustic filters, and various integrated RF Front End WiLAN transmit/receive modules
Support test technicians during day-to-day activities
Spectral Analysis, Network Analysis, Modulated Signal Analysis (e.g., EVM, ACLR, SEM)
Noise Figure
Digital control / Serial Bus Control
Digital Pre-Distortion and Envelope Tracking
DC analysis / Pulsed current
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with at least 5 years' experience in an RF laboratory environment
OR equivalent experience
Thorough technical understanding and practical working knowledge of RF principles and theory
Wi-Fi/Cellular/IoT/Infrastructure measurement experience
Test Automation software capability, using LabVIEW, C#, Python or Matlab
Highly organized and motivated self-starter with outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Ability to working as part of a multidisciplinary team
Curious, creative and a collaborative problem solver
Team Player with a focus on the goals and outcomes of the business unit in a fast-paced priority-driven environment
Database scripting experience is an asset (SQL), MSSQL, MySQL etc.
Familiarity with statistical concepts is an asset
