Job Summary and Qualifications

Under the general direction of the Radiology Director, Medical Director and the Manager, coordinates the flow of the daily activities in assigned area(s) of responsibility. The majority (75%+) of time for this position involves aspects of performance of Interventional procedures.

What you will be responsible for:

  • Team Leader provides input for performance appraisals of assigned team members to the Manager an/or Director.

  • Assists with implementation of policies and procedures to meet the various accrediting agency regulations and laws.

  • Manages inventory, ordering of supplies and charge reconciliation of area.

  • Responsible for interfacing with other departments, physicians and other office staff, patients, families, visitors and employees as needed.

  • Performs duties of interventional technologist and cardiovascular technologist.

  • Assists radiologists and other physicians and other department technologists in performing procedures as needed.

  • All other operational needs. Educates and teaches staff in IR/VASC/CV procedures.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Graduation from an accredited Radiographic Technologist program or accredited Cardiology Technologist program is preferred.

  • ARRT (RT) (R) or ARRT CI/CV/VI.

  • BLS required. ACLS required within 6 months of hire

  • Minimum of one year hospital department experience or completion of accredited Nuclear Medicine program with clinical experience

  • Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date

  • Registered Radiographer (ARRT) must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date
