The Patient Access Specialist is responsible for managing patient intake and registration process. Their primary duties focus on ensuring a smooth, efficient, and friendly experience for patients while handling administrative tasks related to patient records, insurance verification, and appointments. Responsibilities
Collect and verify patient demographic information, including personal and insurance details.
Input accurate patient data into the healthcare system.
Schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments as needed.
Coordinate appointments with multiple departments or providers when necessary.
Provide information about co-pays, deductibles, and other financial responsibilities.
Collect payments at the time of service or set up payment plans as needed.
Serve as the primary point of contact for patients regarding registration, scheduling, and billing inquiries.
Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
