Description

Robert Half is seeking an Accounting/Bank Reconciliation Specialist to join a growing finance team.

Job Description:

The primary responsibility of this role is to handle high-volume bank reconciliations across multiple entities, in addition to GL reconciliations. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for filing sales and use tax returns and preparing journal entries for commercial bank accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform bank reconciliations for multiple entities and bank accounts.

  • Conduct general ledger (GL) reconciliations.

  • Prepare and file sales and use tax returns.

  • Prepare and post journal entries for commercial bank accounts.

  • Ensure all financial data is accurate and compliant with company policies.

  • Collaborate with other team members to support month-end and year-end closing processes.

  • Maintain detailed and organized records of all reconciliations and financial transactions.

  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records.

  • Utilize Workday software for various accounting tasks (training provided if needed).

  • Use Excel to perform data analysis and create financial reports (proficient in v-lookups and basic formulas).

    Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience with a focus on high-volume bank and GL reconciliations.

  • Knowledge of sales and use tax is a plus; training will be provided if necessary.

  • Experience with intercompany or multi-entity transaction accounting is highly desirable.

  • Proficiency in Excel (v-lookups and basic formulas; pivot table knowledge is not required).

  • Experience with Workday software is a plus.

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
