Role Summary
This position will be on the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team supporting the Global Distribution business unit with financial reporting, strategic planning, forecasting, and financial modeling activities. The incumbent will be responsible for analyzing the financials of the business unit to identify and communicate areas of financial risk and/or opportunity. They will possess a mix of complex analytical and problem-solving skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, and knowledge and interest in asset management and global trends.
A successful candidate will work independently to meet deadlines and hold themselves accountable to meet and exceed objectives. They will utilize collaboration, organization, and communication skills to work with various stakeholders across Finance and the business unit supported.
Responsibilities:
Prepares complex financial analysis and models to provide insights to the business unit and Finance management to support business decision making
Uses analytics and knowledge of the business unit to help compile and update short-term and long-range forecasts based on multiple inputs and assumptions to reflect changes in business strategies and business intelligence
Collects financial and operational information from multiple sources and integrates information into financial summaries and charts
Provides trend analysis on financial data and operating performance, interprets key trends and summarizes findings
Determines opportunities to improve reporting process and executes reporting enhancements with new information
Designs and develops complex reports or retrieves information for ad-hoc reporting requests and special projects
Develops financial presentations for the business unit and Finance management to highlight findings and results from models and analyses
Communicates effectively through verbal and written communication. Interacts with managers, staff, and peers to provide clarification, researches issues to their appropriate conclusion and provides follow-up monitoring of results
Maintains a consistent workflow and meet deadlines, both routine and non-routine
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration AND
3+ years of total relevant work experience
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
Proficiency in analysis of data and financial metrics
Excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects or tasks
Client-service skills for effective collaboration with internal clients
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred:
Confidence and ability to interact with senior leadership
Experience with Power BI a plus
Experience in financial systems (i.e. Oracle, SmartView)
Knowledge of accounting principles
Knowledge of Financial Services Industry
FINRA Requirements
FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.
Work Flexibility
This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to two days per week from home.
Base salary ranges:
$83,000.00 - $141,000.00 for the location of: California, New York
$72,500.00 - $124,500.00 for the location of: Washington, D.C
$66,000.00 - $113,500.00 for the location of: Colorado, Maryland, Washington and all other US locations
Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the role . Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package . Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
