GARRISON FOREST SCHOOL Director of Daycare in Owings Mills, Maryland
Garrison Forest School seeks a Director of Daycare to begin June 1, 2024. The Director has the responsibility of the daily operations of the Daycare as well as planning, implementing, and maintaining a credentialed daycare program for the Garrison Forest Community. The Director of Daycare reports directly to the Head of Early Childhood Education.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee the academic, social, and emotional life of the Daycare students including oversight of curriculum, student records and scheduling
Work to ensure a smooth and warm onboarding experience for families
Supervise, direct and support the Daycare faculty and staff
Work closely with the Head of Early Childhood Education for screening and hiring potential Daycare faculty and staff
Schedule and carry out professional development of Daycare faculty and staff through meetings, workshops etc.
Maintain a warm, nurturing environment for all students, families, faculty and staff involved with the Daycare
Convey to parents and faculty the philosophy and goals of the Daycare as outlined in the Daycare Parent Handbook
Engage and communicate with Daycare families on a regular basis
Assist in developing and supervising Daycare budgets and the care and upkeep of the Daycare building, grounds, and equipment
Oversee daily operations of the Daycare program, including budget, enrollment, maintaining licensure, curriculum, and teacher observations
Ensure that the Daycare program meets all requirements necessary to maintain licensing from the State of Maryland
Assist with staffing and facility needs including maintaining teacher and substitute schedules and filling in when needed
Oversee all new employees with center orientation
Other duties as assigned
