Job Description
As an Embedded Firmware Engineer, you will report to the Director of Engineering and engage in the design, development, and support of our products. Your primary responsibilities will include handling both legacy products and newer products that utilize embedded Linux for various functionalities like user interface, communications, and data management. You will analyze and document design, manage bug tracking, and oversee version and release control. A crucial part of your role will be to understand the trade-offs between hardware and firmware solutions and contribute significantly to the overall system design. Additionally, you will transition our products to modern communication interfaces such as Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth, ensure comprehensive documentation, and maintain robust revision and release controls. Your expertise will also be vital in leading design reviews, troubleshooting technical issues, assisting in the design of manufacturing test fixtures, assembling and testing prototypes, and interfacing with cross-functional teams and vendors.
