OVERVIEW
SECOND SHIFT - TUESDAY THROUGH SATURDAY 3:00PM to 12:00AM EST
In this role you will configure, install, administer, operate, upgrade, monitor, sustain, and support existing data centers, network, hardware, software, processes, applications, systems, databases, desktops, peripherals, and other related infrastructure. Responsible for service delivery across all technology domains and all consumers, including execution of all backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and related capabilities.
Requires in-depth knowledge and expertise in their own job discipline and working knowledge of related disciplines
Leads projects or work streams within broader projects
You will be accountable for work of self and sometimes others, provides process and standards advice in area of specialty
Works independently, receives minimal guidance
Acts as a mentor for colleagues with less experience
Role summary and job responsibilities
Documents all work and shows attention to detail.
Works from documented processes and procedures for most tasks
Utilizes knowledge and judgement for tasks that do not have defined procedures
May enhance and document processes used by others
You will serve as a resource and apply broad knowledge of multiple technical skills to complete work that may involve help desk support, switchboard support, data center operations support, production support, report production support, etc.
Typically, is involved in efforts of medium complexity that may span multiple areas of GT and/or vendors and require coordination
Effectively uses logic as a problem-solving tool
Demonstrates understanding of statistical models for problem analysis
Provides feedback to other team members
Mentors other associates on the team
Other duties as assigned
Business knowledge
Possesses basic understanding of the technology industry
Possesses understanding of how the GT organization is structured and understands how to navigate GT for the purposes of accomplishing specified work tasks
Understands how the business units are organized across the firm
Requirements
Typically requires 3+ years of relevant experience
Understands more complex technology/infrastructure concepts and operations
Able to engage across various technical teams to resolve more complex problems or executing processes of higher complexity
Effectively able to execute basic systems administrative functions
FINRA Requirements
FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.
Work Flexibility
This role is eligible for remote work up to three days a week.
