Emory Healthcare/Emory University Visiting Assistant Professor/Instructor of Environmental Science in Oxford, Georgia

Oxford College, a unique two-year liberal arts college within Emory University, located 36 miles east of Atlanta on Emory’s original campus Oxford, Georgia, invites applications for a one year Visiting Assistant Professor position in Environmental Science beginning August 2024. This is a benefits eligible position with the possibility of renewal for up to two additional years based on performance, ongoing curricular need, and budgetary approval.

The successful candidate will teach two introductory lecture courses and their accompanying laboratories each semester, or their equivalent, including Introduction to Environmental Studies, and additional introductory courses in the candidate’s areas of expertise such as: Social Science and Policy, Environment and Health, Ecology and Conservation, or Earth and Atmospheric Sciences.

Oxford’s science facility, which opened in 2016, is intentionally designed to promote student-faculty collaboration, scholarship, and innovative teaching in STEM.
