Emory Healthcare/Emory University Visiting Assistant Professor/Instructor of Physics in Oxford, Georgia
Oxford College, a unique liberal arts college within Emory University, located 36 miles east of Atlanta on Emory’s original campus Oxford, Georgia, invites applications for a one year visiting assistant professor or visiting instructor of Physics beginning in August 2024. This is a one-year, benefits eligible position with the possibility of renewal for up to two additional years based on performance, ongoing curricular need, and budgetary approval. The successful candidate will teach two first- and second-year lecture courses and their accompanying laboratories each semester, or their equivalent, including general physics and modern physics.
We seek candidates to join our vibrant campus who have a commitment to teaching and mentoring a diverse population of motivated first- and second-year undergraduates in a residential liberal arts environment. Oxford’s science facility, which opened in 2016, is intentionally designed to promote student-faculty collaboration, scholarship, and innovative teaching in STEM to support our programs.
