Plant Planner
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role, Plant Planner, are to:
Responsible for planning what to process in the Plant, considering the needs of the pull and push process, incoming STO, demand from other regions, rework, etc;
Point of contact for MEX (Process Plant) to coordinate capabilities and priorities;
Collaborate with the Future Year Planner on the Rough-Cut Capacity Plan to ensure the execution of PUSH plan. Works with MEX to plan and execute PUSH to Marketable process;
Conduct Control Tower meeting (weekly calls) with global scope to provide visibility on the supply, inform constraints and inform S&OE teams of critical deviations Inform to the operations team what is coming, when and priorities to process;
Build the plan based on RCCP to providepriorities and what needs to be accomplished for the M/Q Team up with the MPS (Ops Team) to deliver on the plan;
Evaluation of the Supply Position ( Risks & Opportunities) based on global needs;
Assessments are performed to meet all regions needs and plans are built to mitigate global risks;
First point of contact with the Global Seed Supply team and Regional;
Supply Managers for adjusting and prioritizing seed movements from production sites to operations sites in the region;
Responsible to initiate and manage seed movements and contribute to the identification of routing optimization opportunities between operational plants and/or distribution centers in the most cost-effective way without impacting our service levels;
Communication with internal stakeholders on seed movements, process and test priorities based on market demand and timing;
Active connection with peers in other Regions to ensure of operational priorities and capacity alignment to secure of execution target;
Manage and govern all priorities:
After harvest of incoming batches and push to marketable batches, collaborate with Current Year Planner (Global demand):.
Harvest priority
Quality testing priority including ship in-test and sub-standard;
Supply routing exception management and priority including air/vessel shipment;
After marketable, collaborate with Near Term Planner and S&OE priorities (Regional Demand) Position;
WHO YOU ARE
Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain or related field;
Strong communication skills including ability to influence peers and leaders;
Ability to makes tough and effective decisions in a fast-paced environment;
Excellent decision and problem-solving skills;
Background in data, analytics and knowledge in applied statistics;
Ability to work effectively in a global, team-based and matrix environment;
Fluent English (spoken and written);
Proficient in Microsoft Office;
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain or related field with 4+ years of related experience preferred in business functions or any SCM lead role.
SAP and Spotfire a plus
Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $75,126.76 - $112,690.14. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
