Summary: The Maintenance 1 position is responsible for performing all maintenance functions that are necessary across the entire plant.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Previous foundry maintenance experience a plus.

  • Responsible for anything from general masonry, plumbing, rough carpentry, painting, welding, or building maintenance.

  • Able to install and maintain a variety of mechanical or electrical equipment. This will include repairs, maintaining machinery, mechanical equipment, diagnostic analysis, and complex electrical controls.

  • Ability to wire complicated electrical equipment such as automatic controls.

  • Extremely proficient with diagnostic analysis on multiple numerical control systems.

  • Able to review and understand diagrams, sketches, and manuals when needing assistance.

  • Will perform general construction maintenance when necessary.

  • Knowledgeable with tools or tooling that the maintenance team uses each day to complete jobs.

  • Responsible for keeping the work area clean at all times.

  • Follow and obey all safety rules while wearing required safety equipment.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Associates Degree in Industrial Maintenance preferred.

  • Can accurately use all precision instruments and read blueprints pertaining to the work being performed.

  • Able to use math calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

  • Able to train and mentor junior maintenance personnel.

Desired Skills:

  • Eight to ten years of electrical or maintenance experience in an industrial setting preferred.

  • Ability to use precision instruments and read blueprints.

  • Ability to communicate effectively between multiple department supervisors.

  • Can step in and assume operations in the absence of a supervisor.

  • Ability to meet strict deadlines within a fast-paced environment.

  • Previous experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing setting.

  • High attention to detail and escalate errors to management when needed.

  • Must be able to stand for long periods at a time.

  • Able to work with arms extended above shoulder level, climb ladders, and work at different heights.

  • Possess the ability to push and pull frequently.

  • Frequent bending at the waist.

  • Must be able to lift 60 lbs.

Pay Details: $28.00 to $35.00 per hour
