Robert Half Accountant - MST in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida
Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, for an Accountant - MST within the machinery manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining and processing financial data, dealing with customer inquiries, and performing clerical duties within the accounting function.
Responsibilities:
• Efficiently process payments and perform routine calculations related to customer credit applications
• Maintain and update financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with US GAAP guidelines
• Respond to and resolve customer inquiries, complaints, and issues in a timely and detail oriented manner
• Conduct research to resolve problems and improve internal control processes
• Perform bank reconciliation functions and prepare bank deposits regularly
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded
• Generate financial reports and present findings to leadership and business partners
• Maintain and manage purchase orders, ensuring adherence to the buying process and procurement specifications
• Collaborate with vendors to negotiate pricing and streamline buying processes
• Perform light clerical duties as required, contributing to overall operational efficiency and quality. Requirements • Possess strong customer service skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficiency in reporting and financial reporting
• Experience with accounts payable (AP)
• Ability to process payments efficiently
• Capable of conducting research and providing quality results
• Knowledge and understanding of finance and pricing
• Demonstrated leadership skills
• Experience working with vendors and performing clerical duties
• Familiarity with procurement and buying processes
• Ability to perform bank reconciliations
• Experience with handling customer complaints
• Knowledge of purchase orders and specifications
• Understanding of internal control and streamlining processes
• Ability to collaborate effectively with business partners
• Knowledge of US GAAP is essential
