What you’ll do as a Manager, Employee Relations Compliance
Maintain knowledge of changes in labor laws and regulations, identifying potential compliance risks, and implementing necessary corrective actions
Regularly review and update the company’s employee relations policies to ensure legal compliance and alignment with best practices. Coordinate with leadership, HR and other departments on necessary updates and/or training
Oversees the company’s Immigration Compliance Program for employees including liaising with e-verify vendor, addressing questions from human resources and employees
Manages company’s Federal Contract Compliance program and associated policies
Reviews and analyzes system-wide employee and operational statistics on HR compliance-related concerns, complaint investigations, grievances, external charges, compliance calls, turnover, and employee engagement to identify trends and areas of potential escalation, and recommends interventions, as appropriate
Coordinate regulatory reporting including EEO-1, CA Pay Reporting, and others as required
Prepare reports on employee relations trends, issues, and outcomes for senior management and legal teams, making recommendations for and implementing improvements where necessary
Work closely with the HR team, legal team, and leadership to proactively identify and address systemic employee relations issues
Perform other duties and projects as required, included conducting investigations
What you’ll need
To be 18 years of age or older
Authorization to work in the United States for this company
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
Minimum of 8 years of experience in human resources or employee relations including at least one year of department leadership
In-depth knowledge of employment laws and regulations (e.g., FMLA, ADA, EEOC, Title VII, FLSA, etc.)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively handle sensitive employee concerns and facilitate conflict resolution
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess situations, gather information, and make informed decisions
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive employee information
Proven experience in employee relations, preferably within a human resources department
Strong writing and documentation skills to create clear and concise reports
Flexibility to travel domestically up to 25% of the time
Additional qualifications
Experience managing federal contract compliance program preferred
MBA or advanced degree with a concentration in HR or a related field preferred
SPHR or similar HR certification preferred
