SPECTACOR MANAGEMENT GROUP Accounting Clerk in Palm Springs, California

Performs a variety of accounting activities related to the payment and receipt of money; computes, classifies, and records numerical data into ASM Globals accounting systems. Applies a working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations. Work involves processing, distribution and maintenance of invoices and payments, and financial forms processing. This position requires effective communication with colleagues, vendors and other appropriate third parties. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITES Accounting:

  • Enters AP invoices and expense reports accurately and timely, matching w/purchase orders, receiving reports and or approvals.
  • Verifies approval signatures on all invoices, check requests, and expense reports, follows up to obtain any missing approvals.
  • Assist in timely payments for accounts payable, employee reimbursements and credit cards
  • Review and reconcile vendor invoices/statements for accuracy and addresses outstanding balances.
  • Handle inquiries regarding payments, invoices and account statements.
  • Maintains and verifies accuracy of vendor records including, verifying vendor information, W-9s and federal tax forms, and insurance requirements (COI).
  • Validates expense reports to meet documentation requirements.
  • Ensures delivery of checks awaiting hand delivery and mailing to appropriate locations.
  • Responds to all inquiries regarding accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Maintain filing system for AP and AR.
  • Assist to generate and timely distribute accurate invoices to customers, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and billing schedules
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, event services, operations, and parking services to resolve issues and improve processes.
  • Post customer payments by recording checks and credit card transactions.
  • Generate and analyze aging reports to identify delinquent accounts and take appropriate actions.
  • Prints and Mails Invoices and Statements.

  • Promotes and fulfills ASM Global goals and brand promise.
  • Participates in safety programs to achieve safety goals.
  • Assists the department and organization with various projects and special assignments as needed.
  • Performs other assigned duties as required.

Education: Two years college level business classes including accounting or finance courses, however any combination of education and work experience providing the required abilities and knowledge for successful performance is acceptable.
