YAYOI Assistant Store Manager -Japanese Teishoku Restaurant at YAYOI Palo Alto in Palo Alto, California
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Assistant Store Manager to join our team at our Palo Alto location. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and organizational skills, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and ensure that our store runs smoothly and efficiently while delivering exceptional customer service.
Requirements
Effectively communicate with customers and team members to foster a positive work environment.

Manage the operations of a fast-paced, high-volume, customer-centric store or restaurant.
Ensure compliance with all safety and sanitation regulations, including food safety, expiration management, and loss prevention.
Oversee labor hours and cost control to optimize productivity and profitability.
Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling, inventory management, and reporting.
Handle time management effectively, multi-tasking and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
Maintain store cleanliness and organization, ensuring a pleasant environment for both employees and customers.
Lift and carry up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for 8-10 hours per day.
Work approximately 45 hours per week, with flexible availability including weekends and closing shifts as required.
Deliver exceptional customer service with a proven track record of success.
Qualifications:
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Ability to manage and oversee daily store operations.
Familiarity with food safety, labor management, and cost control.
Strong attention to detail and ability to complete administrative duties effectively.
Ability to handle physical demands, including lifting up to 50 lbs and long periods of standing.
