Job Title: PAYROLL SPECIALIST Job Type:Permanent, Full Time Day/Hours: Mon-Fri, 8 AM to 5 PM Rate of Pay: $55k (DOE) per year Location of Work: Bay County, FL
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Summary: Process bi-weekly payroll for over 170 Employees as well as assisting finance department in all areas.Looking for a skilled Payroll Specialist/Accountant to join an innovative and energetic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for bi-weekly payroll for over 170 employees as well as assisting finance department in all areas (70% Accounting-30% Payroll). The ideal candidate will have experience with ADP Workforce Now or similar software, Attendance tracking systems, excel expert and general accounting knowledge. Key Responsibilities:
- Processes Payroll Data, Calculates Wages, Withholding Taxes and Other Deductions
- Generates Invoices
- Corrects Paychecks
- Maintains Accurate Financial Records
- Prepares Reports for Management
- Stays up to date with Tax Laws and Employment Regulations to Ensure Compliance
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 2 Years Accounting /Reconciliation experience (Required). Additional experiencea plus.
- Associates Degree Preferred
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now or Similar Software - Preferred
- Attendance Tracking System Experience a Plus
