Domain Architect - Data, Senior Specialist (The Vanguard Group, Inc. / Paoli, PA) - Engage in database design, data modeling, data warehouse applications and Business Intelligence reports using best practices and tools; evaluate reusability of current data for separate analyses, translate business needs into long-term architecture solutions for client, deliver high quality data architect related outcomes including data warehouse designs and data system enhancements in accordance with existing standards and guidelines; analyze business needs, working with project staff to make decisions and recommendations on the future of data architect development; conduct data sheering to rid the system of old, unused or duplicate data; review object and data models and the metadata repository to structure the data for better management and quicker access; resolve routine issues with business analysts and technology teams by providing advice on data warehousing methods and approaches. Requires Bachelor's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic(s) Engineering, or closely related IT field and five years of experience in job offered or in IT position(s) including Vice President, Software Engineer and/or Associate - Software Engineering and/or I.T. Analyst. Background in education, training or experience must include designing big data solutions using AWS cloud infrastructure; experience in data warehousing concepts and design including data modeling, database management, data governance, data integration; demonstrated expertise in big data management languages including Python and PySpark and performance tuning techniques; expertise in modern SQL languages including PostgreSQL and optimizing techniques; experience working with cross functional teams and business stakeholders; experience in data analytics/visualization tools including Tableau/Qlik. Company operates on hybrid model with three days in office and work-from-home available two days.
