Job Specifications

This important role will safely repair, and service domestic and commercial appliances covered. Employees will also be responsible for natural gas activities including and not limited to; responding to emergency orders, meter turn on and offs, new construction meter installs and utility locating.

Pay Range: (Determined by the knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant.)

•Technician I: $24.50 - $36.59 per hour / Grade 45

• Technician II: $27.38 - $41.08 per hour / Grade 46

• Senior Technician: $30.79- $46.08 per hour / Grade 47

This posting includes the full pay range for this position. Pay is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.

Reporting Relationship:Operations Supervisor

Location:Papillion, NE

Essential Functions:

• Promote safety in all phases of company operations.

• Repair, and service domestic and commercial appliances covered under Service Guard program.

• Provide proactive assistance in the resolution of customer complaints.

• Perform general customer service activity including, but not limited to, turn-ons and turn-offs, replace meters, collect unpaid bills, investigate calls regarding gas leaks and carbon monoxide presence, etc.

• Promote division profitability through increased sales of non-regulated programs.

• Perform on-call duties after hours.

• Perform meter reading.

• Perform some operations activities including utility line locating and basic meter work.

• Other duties as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Has basic skills in an analytical or scientific method or operational process

• Works within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelines

• Works with close supervision

What You'll Need:

Level I:

• No experience required. Training provided.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• HVAC Certification Upon Hire

• EPA Refrigerant Certification within 1 Year

Level II:

• Minimum two (2) years of experience required.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• HVAC Certification Upon Hire

• EPA Refrigerant Certification within 1 Year

Senior Level:

• Minimum four (4) years of experience required.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• HVAC Certification Upon Hire

• EPA Refrigerant Certification within 1 Year

What Is Desired Or Can Be Taught:

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills essential.

• Safe work record and demonstration of a strong work ethic.
