ENTRY-LEVEL STAFF ACCOUNTANT - NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Staff Accountant Job Purpose:
Provides management with financial information by researching and analyzing accounts, and preparing financial statements.
Staff Accountant Job Duties:
- Financial Reporting:
- Assisting in the preparation of financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement).
- Generating financial reports for management or regulatory purposes.
- Analyzing financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
- Providing financial insights to management to support decision-making.
- Track Fixed Assets and Capital spending on various projects.
Credit Monitoring within Accounts Receivable:
- Application of daily A/R transactions.
- Investigate credit worthiness of new customers.
- Maintain pending customer return and warranty files.
- Communicate with aging accounts on collecting past due balances.
Compliance and Regulation:
- Ensuring compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulations (such as GAAP or IFRS).
- Assisting with audits by providing documentation and explanations to auditors.
- Helping to prepare S&U tax returns and ensuring compliance with tax laws.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Supporting the budgeting and forecasting process by providing financial data and analysis.
- Monitoring actual performance against budgets and forecasts and providing variance analysis.
Process Improvement:
Identifying opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
Implementing improvements to accounting procedures or systems.
