Job Duties
Analyze existing business processes and workflows within the hospital to improve strategic and tactical performance measurement.Develop and implement process improvement and performance monitoring strategies that align with the organization's strategic goals and objectives.Design and develop data models to represent complex business processes and workflows.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to map, document, and redesign processes to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.Utilize data analytics and business intelligence tools to develop solutions that measure process performance and identify trends.Create and maintain process documentation, including flowcharts, performance monitoring guidelines, and best practices.Support process improvement projects from conception to implementation, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.Work closely with the Business Performance Analyst to refine key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics for measuring process effectiveness.Support the Strategic Integration Manager in developing quantitative measurements of the strategic integration process. Develop process auditing solutions that allow for continuous improvement strategies.Collaborate with IT teams to collect data and automate processes into existing systems and ensure seamless data exchange.Educate on new processes and best practices to ensure successful adoption and sustainability of improvements.Stay current with industry trends, healthcare regulations, and emerging technologies that can impact process design and implementation.Prepare and present reports on process improvement initiatives, outcomes, and recommendations to leadership.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or a related field; master’s degree preferred.
Skills:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in modeling healthcare data, automating business processes, and measuring performance in a healthcare setting.Experience with evaluating, improving, and governing metric design and definitions.Strong knowledge of business narrative formation, ERD design, data modeling, feature engineering, and SQL.Proficiency in process mapping and modeling tools (e.g., Visio, iGrafx, Lucidchart).Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Domo, Excel, Tableau).Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.Familiarity with healthcare operations, regulations, and industry trends.Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt) is highly desirable.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Python, R) for data analysis or data science automation.Knowledge of healthcare data standards and regulations (e.g., HIPAA) is highly desirable.Project management experience and ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.Certification in process improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean) is a plus.
