Job Summary:
Come be a part of an energetic, dynamic team that works together to support and nurture the needs of a diverse population of high school students at Manchester Regional High School, which serves the Haledon, North Haledon, Prospect Park, and Paterson Communities. Challenge yourself to become part of our creative team and learn to advocate and address the community's mental health needs. Get involved in the school community by creating and facilitating workshops and events focusing on healthy youth development, mental health awareness, and well-being, including Freshman Orientation, Girl's Empowerment Day, Multicultural Fair, Healthy Hoops for Families, Mental Health Fair, and Healthy Masculinity Day.
What You Will Do:
Engage adolescent population/youth through individual and group contacts
Develop and implement activities prevention areas
Collaborate effectively with program and school personnel
Provide individual and or family counseling, as needed
Complete all required documentation accurately and within the established timeframes
Clearly communicate with staff to assure program needs are met successfully
What We Need to See:
Bachelor's Degree in a human services field (psychology, sociology, etc)
1 year of experience working with adolescent populations
A valid driver's license and must be insurable by agency's automobile insurance
