Role Purpose

An individual with a background in business management, sustainability / ESG and the real estate industry / built environment, with a passion for business development, sales management, collaboration and innovation. Responsible for managingthe implementation of our proactive business development initiatives in Continental Europe. This role will report directly to our Head of ESG – Business Development & Innovation Continental Europe. You will be based in Continental Europe, preferably in France, Netherlands, Germany, Spain or Italy.

Key Responsibilities

ESG sales coordination for Pan European clients

· Assist in developing and managing the implementation of our Business Development initiatives at CE level, such as our CE Client Success Programme focused on large pan European clients (investors and occupiers especially)

· Carry out research on client prospects, intra CBRE client relationships and prepare insightful material for prospect discovery meetings

· Prepare presentation material for client meetings, product pitches to clients, commercial proposals and contracts, ensuring the required follow-up for contracts to be effectively signed

· Prepare client care follow-up material and presentations

· Arrange regular catch-up calls/meetings with Clients in collaboration with the wider European Central team to include technical expertise in the meetings when needed.

· Routinely prepare and present at Client meetings to increase sustainability awareness and engagement.

· Convert leads to projects, developing and maintaining key client relationships to maximise opportunities for repeat business with our business development client targets;

ESG Sales monitoring & reporting

· Maintain good quality data in our CRM Tool (Client IQ)

· Monitor and report on qualified client meetings, lead generation and conversion into business, based on Client IQ

· Monitor client satisfaction in the business development phase (until signature of contract)

Marketing/Communications/Events supporting business development

In close collaboration with the CE Communications and Marketing teams and when needed, with the wider European central team and ESG lead community

· Assist in designing and implementing client-focused marketing and communications events and initiatives

· Assist in the implementation of our ESG and thought leadership initiatives aimed at growing our ESG business development pipeline across CE

· Adapt ESG product decks into client marketing material

· Adapt ESG research reports into client thought leadership material

Compliance and innovation sourcing supporting business development

· Monitor, track and draft executive summaries on European and CE national regulations affecting ESG and real estate to ensure up-to-date client conversations with regards to compliance

· Review and monitor innovative solutions relevant for our investor, occupier and developer clients

· Ensure the solutions are shared internally (with the ESG lead community and other interested service lines).

· Arrange pitches of innovative solutions internally within CBRE (ESG lead community and interested service lines) with our network of innovative contacts and partners in order to spread the word aboutthe best solutions that can be included in our ESG offerings, providing CBRE with a competitive edge over the competition

Skills & Competencies

· Master’s degree in business management / real estate and/or sustainability with a commercial focus

· 5+ years professional experience working as an ESG programme manager, sustainability consultantwith direct exposure to driving sales and proactively engaging with clients

· Strong commercial awareness and detailed understanding of the real estate business;

· Strong sense for marketing and communications

· Makes it easy for people to get involved in our responsible business activities;

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

· Excellent data and analytical skills

· Mastering French is a plus. Working knowledge of a 3rd European language (German, Spanish, Italian)would be much appreciated.

· Experienced in navigating complex, matrixed corporate structures.
