Role Overview:
This is a Business Manager role to support the Europe Markets franchise, including Citigroup Global Markets Europe (CGME) and Citigroup Europe PLC (CEP). The Vice President is part of the Markets Europe Business Execution organization and responsible to ensure the business operates safely and support the business strategy. Managing a diverse set of European Markets legal entity projects and non-routine activities is a key part of the role.
What you will do:
Provide leadership and promote ties across businesses, regions, and support functions to ensure and manage stakeholder engagement across legal entities and franchise
Manage and deliver on strategic or regulatory driven projects and non-routine activities to enhance and optimize product offering, client experience, revenues, expenses, capital usage, risk, European legal entity booking model and processes
Support the implementation of corrective action plans
Assess and communicate requirements and dependencies (stemming from e.g. business strategy, internal governance, target operating model, booking model, regulation, accounting rules, other projects)
Assess and challenge progress on an ongoing basis to ensure successful and timely delivery
Assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgement regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting issues and concerns with transparency
Facilitate Senior Management engagement in the decision-making process where appropriate
Prepare presentations and Senior Management updates on regular basis and ad-hoc when appropriate or requested
Represent the Europe Markets franchise in relevant working groups, forums and committees
What we'll need from you:
Understanding of and an interest in Financial Markets
7+ years of relevant working experience
Experience in managing projects and change initiatives preferred
Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or relevant experience
Master’s degree preferred
Strong analytical and organizational skills as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to assess, simplify, prioritize and escalate appropriately
Problem solving mindset with attention to detail and ability to think long term/big-picture
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate globally across diverse groups
Ability to work independently in a cross-border environment
Good understanding of financial markets, finance/accounting, risks is a plus
Proficiency in MS 365 applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
