Barilla European Integrated Accountant in Parma, Italy

Barilla G. e R. Fratelli wants to recruit an Integrated Accountant, within the European Integrated Accounting team based in Parma, with a fixed term contract. Job Purpose The role contributes to the timely and accurate production of periodic trial balance related to Cluster Legal Entities and to the complete fulfilment of legal and fiscal requirements, in observance of established accounting principles and procedures. The person will support the compliance of cross-cluster accountabilities related to Master Tables, Invoicing, Deal & Promo, Intercompany, Payroll and General Ledger ensuring the high standard service level in line with our targets. To contribute to the month-end closure process by performing activities and controls with the aim to grant the respect of the closing milestones and the quality of the data for the internal reporting. He/she will also participate to standardization and improvement projects and will support local stakeholders, ensuring timely execution of SLA or tasks under the responsibility of Integrated Accounting team. Key Responsibilities • Contribute to the timely production of periodic profit and loss and balance sheet statements for all the legal entities included in the EASSC perimeter, in compliance to Group, local mandatory and statutory requirements. • Perform general ledger accounting bookings within SAP R/3, the month-end-closure process -including performing activities such as reconciliations of the transitory accounts, posting accruals etc.- and intercompany reconciliations and adjustments throughout the year. • Actively support the team to clear the transitory accounts and manage actively issues. • Grant proper bookkeeping for all the legal entities included in the EASSC perimeter, according the Group Accounting Manual and the Group Reporting Manual. • Assure that productivity levels are in compliance with internal targets and actively support the development of better ways of performing processes within the team, identifying and suggesting process and system enhancements, including work routine. • Provide adequate and timely support to local teams, to correctly perform their part of the process, and to internal and external auditors' information requests, assuring integrity and accuracy of related reporting and answers. Requirements - Degree in Economics / Finance / Accounting - Previous experience in Accounting or Finance or Audit (1 or 2 years) - International study / work experience - Languages: English fluent. Italian / Swedish / German / French preferred - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Curiosity and proactive approach
