Barilla Food Certifications Specialist in Parma, Italy

Job Purpose

He/she will be the reference point (Center of expertise COE) for company in terms of knowledge and best practices for non Quality certifications: halal, Kosher, sustainability (plant part), Vegan, Organic, lactose and gluten free, contributing to maintain and improve plant systems. He/she will also try to optimize costs for the company analysing market requests and trying to organize the network to reduce as much as possible the plant efforts. Being the COE, he/she will provide training material and advice for the plants to be always in line with the certifications’ requirements.

He/she will also be in charge of understanding export requirements needed to clear the customs and be sure that our product won’t be stopped at the border collaborating with technical regulatory, distributors, plants and logistic managers

Main Responsibilities

  • Monitor the external scenario, related to international standard contents, trends, hot topics, to recommend to the Company the best choice, developing our thinking and eventually elaborating recommendations to the Company (new standards, new providers …).

  • Coordinate the activities of pant Q&T peers monitoring non-quality Management Systems implementation through agreed KPIs.

  • Promote in the region the implementation of rules to conduct internal audits, basing on an annual risk assessment and the identification of specific focus area.

  • Promote a tool and assure the correct training to manage the review of the non-quality certification System (people involved, input such as KPIs trends etc..), improve the goal setting and guarantee an effective governance, coherently to the continuous improvement approach.

  • Manage communication on systems news, using the new Q&FS Platform and tools.

  • Maintain the plants’ management system aligned to the best practices defined by international standards, regulations in force or best practices.

  • Collect feedbacks, best practices, recurrent or severe critical issues linked to the application of non-quality program requirements

  • Coordinate the department involved in the regions or in headquarter departments involved to share information and co-design the rules to be applied

  • Being the center of expertise for export requirements collaborating with logistic and markets to be sure to have all the documentation for clear the customs

  • Develop a system to intercept requirements changes so that necessary improvements are preventively applied within our system

    Requirements

  • Min required experience (years): 12 months minimum (including stage period)

  • Min required education level (High School Diploma, GED, Bachelor, Master, PhD): bachelor degree (3 years)

  • Field of studies: Degree in scientific disciplines

  • Certifications: fluent English and Italian mandatory (french or german knowledge will be appreciated)

  • Good skills of negotiation
