Mississippi Employer CDL Truck Driver/Pascagoula in Pascagoula, Mississippi
This position is for a CDL Truck Driver with a company location in Pascagoula, MS.
Summary: Responsible for driving/hauling equipment and materials to and from various job sites. Operation of assigned equipment is normally a full time position, although other work may be performed.
Duties and Responsibilities Include: Operates a dump truck in hauling heavy equipment to and from job site; Hauls material to and from job sites; Responsible for safe and efficient operation of his/her equipment; Responsible for daily preventive maintenance of equipment needed; Inspects equipment used and reports malfunctions or needed repairs on a daily basis; Occasional lifting of heavy items including tie down chain weighing up to approximately 70 pounds; Knowledge of operating characteristics of assigned equipment; Knowledge of applicable traffic laws, ordinances and regulations; Knowledge of work hazards and safety precautions associated with assigned equipment; Ability to understand and follow oral and written instruction, including Utility Partners' department rules, policies and regulations; Ability to communicate effectively with other personnel and supervisors; Ability to deal with the public on a regular basis in a professional, courteous manner; Ability to complete and submit written reports as needed; Other duties assigned
Requirements and Qualifications Include: High school graduate or General Education Degree (GED); One to two years related experience; Valid Class B driver's license or higher; Prior experience with dump trucks and other heavy equipment preferred; Must pass Truck Driver Qualification Test; Submit to and pass pre-employment drug test.
