Machine Operator The Machine Operator is responsible for programming the applicable numbers provided, loading, and operating the machine as well as changing the machine over to run the appropriate material type. Basic preventative maintenance is also required to ensure equipment is running optimally. Machine Operators setup fitments of components provided by fabrication according to specifications, ensuring all design requests and tolerances are met while referencing blueprints and drawings provided. Our Fabrication department in Pasco, WA is now looking for a Machine Operator. Key Tasks Applies acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks. Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice. Normally follows established procedures on routine work, requires instructions only on new assignments. Safely and proficiently operate tools and equipment needed to fabricate. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work and adhereto safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment. Follow direction, procedures, and instructions for all work assignments. Operate/monitor multiple pieces of equipment during operation to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops. Ability to read and interpret computer aided design (CAD) drawings and 1:1 blueprints. Maintain clean and safe work area and machine conditioning. Work as a team and maintain professionalism at all levels in the organization. Support all quality, safety, and environmental programs. Other duties as assigned. Your Background High school diploma or GED equivalent. 2-3 years of Permobil fabrication, preferred. 2-3 years as a machine operator experience (preferred). Ability to use precision measuring devices. Strong math skills. Maintain regular and predictable attendance; report to work on time. Team player. Able to follow strict adherence of safety protocols.
