Senior Accountant - Records to Report (RTR)
Hybrid - Ortigas, Pasig City
Are you interested to join Grundfos Global Finance team as a Senior Accountant for Records to Report (RTR) Team? As a Sr Accountant - RTR, you will have overall responsibility for the RTR activities of the assigned companies, ensuring true and fair picture of the books.
What is the Job all about?
In this role,you will act as gatekeeper for RTR activities during month- & year -end closing. You will represent the global shared service center in the finance delivery model. Furthermore, as a senior accountant, you will analyze financial data, prepare financial reporting, and provide relevant explanation of statements and differences.
This role will be part of our Records to Report department and will directly report to the RTR - Finance Supervisor. This role will be based in Ortigas, Pasig City.
Other responsibilities:
Operation
Oversee the operation of accounting activities and ensure the timely fulfilment of all reporting requirements and compliance related requests according to Grundfos accounting principles, acts as gatekeeper
Understand all accounting activities performed in FSS for the entity; In case of problems, follow up on the resolution
Perform financial analysis and communicates results to stakeholders to support the entity in the financial reporting process, ask the right questions related to unusual balance movements
Drive and control Month End Closing and Year End Closing, act as single point of contact
Provide functional support for handling escalations and propose further actions if needed
Support stakeholders by providing information based on analysis of accounting
Support audit in case of questions, represent the Finance Shared Services activities related to the entity
Coordinate and lead migration activities and enforce standard process splits are followed
Ensure that documentation is complete, up-to-date, in line with Finance Standards available
Aware of the risks and understands and maintains controls; ensure that IC controls are delivered as required
Analyze CPI-s/KPI-s and following up problems, and propose necessary corrective actions
Assist in planning and implementing department goals and make recommendations to management to improve efficiency and effectiveness
Stakeholder management
Operate with one finance team and Finance Delivery Model, organise collaboration forums, maintain meeting documentation
Keep contact with the affected stakeholders and key contact persons and ensure the proper information flow both ways
Ensure “no surprises” environment, inform partners about problems and changes
Proactively interact with stakeholders to raise awareness of issues encountered along with any actions taken to support resolution
Operational leadership
Accountable for the work of the team members
Allocate and prioritise tasks among team members to meet deadlines and quality standards
Takes responsibility over the quality of the books, by reviewing controls and reconciliations
Provide guidance in the Financial Services team(s)
Provide functional guidance, training and assistance to team members
Continuous improvement
Seek for continuous improvement opportunities to enhance effective MEC, processes and increase the quality of service
Implement process improvements or process standardizations
Active involvement in the related projects
People development
Identify skill gaps and gives input to line manager for individual development plans
Give input into individual performance review (Performance dialogue & discussion)
Audit support
- Support audit processes during system/process audits (internal and external).
Your background:
Bachelor`s degree in Business Administration or Finance related studies
At least 1 to 2 years relevant experience as Senior Accountant or 4 to 5 years’ experience with Records to Report or General Ledger
Fluent in written and spoken English language
Knowledge or experience in SAP is desirable
Knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Experience working in a Shared Services environment is desirable
Keen to accuracy and details
Ability to work enthusiastically with a team
Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines
Ability to work both individually and as part of a team
Flexible, self-motivated, proactive and willing to learn
Excellent time management and work evaluation skills
