Who We Are Looking For:

The Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) team is establishing a regional team to support EMEA manufacturing operations. This role will report to the Director of Advanced Manufacturing – America’s & EMEA and is required to be based at the BBW Mfg. site. As the Advanced Manufacturing Manager, you will be responsible for developing and continuously growing a team of two advanced manufacturing professionals to support the EMEA region which includes 14 sites across 7 countries. As a leader, you will take part in business unit product milestones and serve as a manufacturing advocate and liaison to global leaders. Key focus areas of functional responsibility include EMEA regional Capex reviews, drive and track Mfg. productivity ideations/projects, governance of global equipment/process standardization and technical Mfg. engineering/technician assessments. Additionally, this role will oversee Mfg. engineering site level talent development/upskilling programs, govern transfers of equipment/process tied to NPD launches and existing product transfers both to and from other SBD Mfg. locations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage, Develop and Grow a regional AME team consisting of engineers/technicians.

  • Support Strategy/Footprint team when required for any product equipment transfers.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging and supporting AME teams in their development and the optimization of manufacturing processes.

  • Monitor and report on the progress of productivity projects, identifying any issues or delays and developing solutions to address them.

  • Collaborate with the manufacturing team to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings across regional manufacturing operations.

  • Develop and execute training programs to upskill plant engineering staff, ensuring they are equipped with the latest manufacturing engineering techniques and practices.

  • Build and maintain close relationships with Mfg. sites, critical business support functions in region and critical strategic external automation partners/suppliers.

  • Implement and oversee the execution of productivity projects within the region, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and budget.

  • Initial line of support for production down/emergency Mfg. equipment and/or process down scenarios

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing leadership, or equivalent

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or minimum 5 years equivalent manufacturing experience

  • Mfg. Automation & Process Knowledge: Injection Molding, Welding, Metal Forming, Plating/Painting, Machining, Assembly, etc.

  • Microsoft Office, PowerBi

  • Strong understanding of general LEAN principals, manufacturing principles, DFM, and DFA

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and effectively communicate within various layers of the organization.

  • Experience working in a matrixed global environment a plus.

  • Excellent troubleshooting and assessing skills

  • Ability to prioritize and manage time and projects effectively with a passion for excellence

  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow

  • Desire to work collaboratively and drive team growth

  • Ability to travel 50%+ in region and 10% International
