POSITION: Program Administrator for Adult Literacy
ESBOCES is looking for an experienced educator who values diversity, equity and inclusion, and who has experience navigating multiple constituents, agencies and audiences to run successful programming in support of those who are underserved and marginalized. This critical position reports to the Divisional Administrator for Career, Technical and Adult Education, and serves as a leader within the department, agency and the region as an advocate to support out-of-school youth and adults to become literate, earn a high school equivalency diploma, learn English, obtain skills necessary for employment, and economic self-sufficiency.
BUILDING: Bay Shore Adult Education Center, Bay Shore, NY
Various Locations, Suffolk County, NYRESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee and manage all adult literacy educational programming
Facilitate and design progressive teaching and learning opportunities
Monitor the development and evaluation of literacy and career pathway curriculum
Provide leadership to assure program exceeds funding and grant requirements
Lead and supervise funded programs including, but not limited to: Employment Preparation Education (EPE) and Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act (WIOA) Grants
Organize, coordinate, and track multiple initiatives including initiatives to attract diverse student and staff clientele, to increase enrollment and broaden services
Support other administrators in performing responsibilities related to the supervision of teachers, labor specialist, vocational advisors, testers, and office personnel
Represent agency interests as a liaison across multiple audiences and platforms
Actively promote diversity, equity and inclusion practices throughout the agency
Continuously engage with myriad professional and self-improvement practices
Effectively communicate and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills
Build and sustain complex relationships across internal and external stakeholders
Manage multiple work streams, deadlines and projects simultaneously
Seek and prepare annual applications, grants and proposals for funding
Collect, analyze and report on data to illustrate student success and program impact
Serve on a collaborative leadership team that innovates and evolves programming
START DATE: November 2024
SALARY : $152,225.00
Job Qualifications
NYS SDA or SDL Certification
